Sachin Hits 15,000th Test Runs

New Delhi:Sachin Tendulkar of India on Tuesday become the opening batsman in history to score 15,000 Test runs even as he motivated towards his 100th international century.Tendulkar, 38, attain the feat when he reaches 28 on the third day of the first Test next to the West Indies at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in New Delhi.

Tendulkar was winning on 33 and Rahul Dravid was on 30 as India - set a victory target of 276 - reach152-2 by stump.The Mumbai batsman, in concert his 182nd Test match, by now holds the world record for a good number runs and centuries in equally Test and one-day cricket.

Sachin needs one more three-figure beat to become the first batsman to score 100
international hundreds. He has 51 Test and 48 one-day centuries so far.Dravid is second in the Test scorers' list with 12,859 runs, to the lead of Ricky Ponting of Australia (12,487) and West Indies batsman Brian Lara (11,953).
